On Wednesday, November 17, 2021, rapper Adolph Robert Thornton Jr. – famous with his stage name Young Dolph die in a horrific act of gun violence in Memphis, Tennessee, at around 12:30 p.m, local time. He was declared deceased at the scene.

The rapper behind albums like “Rich Slave” was just 36. According to Memphis Police Chief, he was at Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies when someone shot him. Officials said that it was senseless gun violence, experienced locally and nationwide. Gun violence is a deeply rooted issue in the current American culture.

Young Dolph had been through multiple shooting incidents in the last few years. In 2017, in Charlotte, N.C, he had an incident of more than 100 shots being taken at his bulletproof SUV, though he ran uninjured. Later his song ‘100 Shots’ was released based on this incident. In the same year, Young Dolph became the victim of another shooting in Los Angeles outside a hotel. That shooting incident occurred after an argument. He was injured and had to escape from the scene with injuries. But in this attempt, rapper Young Dolph die in Memphis.

Young Dolph Rapper career –

He was a talent who independently produced his debut album – King of Memphis, in 2016 and released it successfully. Later he released back-to-back three other albums. Those albums remained in the top 10 albums in the Billboard 200. His recent album – Rich Slave, released in 2020, is one of his recent breakthroughs. It is also topping the Billboard 200.

Unfortunately, there is no information about the suspect. The officials are actively investigating the scene, speaking with bystanders, and checking security cameras in the area. As the investigation continues, Memphis citizens have been requested to stay calm. They said that it is hard to say if there is any willing motivation for gun violence.
