Usman vs. Edwards prediction
Kamaru Usman, the Welter weight Champion will take on rival Leon Edwards on Saturday. It is the main event of UFC 278. It is his sixth title defence. The match will take place at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City at 10pm ET. Usman and Leon have faced each other seven years back when both were UFC new comers. Then, Usman defeated Leon in three rounds by unanimous decision.
Usman is very confident of the rematch with Leon and is confident of winning it. He expects Leon to come out with different fighting strategy, but is supremely confident of beating him. He relied heavily on wrestling in his first match against Leon but has now added a supreme stand up game to his repertoire. Edwards has also improved as a wrestler by leaps and bounds.
Caesars Sportsbook has listed Usman as the supreme favourite going into the match by giving odds of -360.Thats means one has to invest $360 to have a chance of winning $100. Edwards is seen as the underdog and is listed at +360. Usman has never lost a single match in UFC. The Nigerian born fighter has come up by leaps and bounds and has improved as a wrestler during his career. Two of his last three wins have come through knockouts of fellow strong fighters Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal.
This shows that he has a tremendous strike game in his arsenal. Edwards also is not far behind and six of his last seven wins has come through decisions. The British fighter also has got a win through an eight second knockout against Seth Baczynski in April 2015.
It will be interesting to see what will be result of the match. It is predicted to be a brutal and lip smacking encounter for all the UFC fans. So let’s tighten our seat belts and enjoy the fight between both of them.
