The woman is from Chin Rai District and belongs to the Shan tribe. She and her husband, a Ubon Racha native, met and fell in love in Chiang Rai approximately five years ago. Together, they moved to Sirindhorn Township.

They resided in the district of Ubon Ratchathani. She had to work as a rubber tapper for 450 baht per day for the five years they lived together in order to feed her husband’s family.

Her husband brought her to his house about two weeks ago. She was in a same-sex relationship with another man and now lives with him as husband and wife. As a result, she was dissatisfied and got into a fight with the man her husband brought with him.

When she was four months pregnant, both her husband and the man conned her into giving them 50 baht for her son and then left her in Ubon Ratchathani. She decided to walk to Bangkok as a result. She walked over 30 kilometers to Bang Khun Sai and asked the locals to lead her. The village chief was informed after the villagers saw it and felt sorry for it.

Before transferring her to the Warin Chamrap police station, she was initially provided with food and water by village leaders and administrative staff.

Such a woman went to Bangkok to find a friend. As a result, the police got in touch with her friend in Bangkok and agreed to pay for her travel and drop her off at the train station.
