Five relatives of Sushant Singh Rajput killed in Road Accident in Bihar

6 people died in Road Accident

At least 6 people, including a driver and 5 distant relatives of one of the country’s most beloved actors, late Sushant Singh Rajput, were killed on the road, in a car-truck collision. The accident happened on Sikandra-Sheikhpura National Highway-333 near Pipra village, in Bihar’s Lakhisarai’s district on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. At least four more people were severely injured in the fatal accident.

The matter has been registered at the Halsi police station for further investigation.

On Tuesday morning, the family, including 2 women, were returning to their home village, Jamui, in their SUV, Tata Sumo. According to the police, the accident took place on the morning of Tuesday, November 16, 2021, members of the Sushant’s extended family met with an accident. 

Sources said the victims were on their way back from Patna, after attending the funeral of Geeta Devi on Monday. She is the sister of Haryana Additional Director General of Police O.P. Singh. Mr. Singh, an IPS officer, is the brother-in-law of the deceased actor. 

The reason behind the Car Accident –

Reports said the driver of the SUV fell asleep on the wheel, because of which, the car collided with a truck carrying empty LPG cylinders. The severe collision mangled the SUV and iron cutters were used to get out the bodies. The truck driver and his helper managed to flee from the spot. 

Those dead have been identified as Laljit Singh, Geeta Devi’s husband, his two sons, Amit Shekhar Singh and Ram Chandra Singh, Sunita Devi, Anita Devi, and driver Pritam Singh.  

Halsi Circle Officer Vivek Kumar said those injured include Tonu Singh, Balmkund Singh, Prashant Kumar, and Balmiki Singh. 

The injured were first taken to Sikandara Sub- Divisional Hospital, from where they were taken to Patna Medical College Hospital.

The bodies of the deceased are in the district hospital for post-mortem.  

Following the incident, Neeraj Singh Bablu, Rajput’s relative and Bihar minister, went to meet the family members of the victims. 

The film industry and fans of the star Sushant were shocked when the news of his reported suicide at his Mumbai home came out on June 14, 2020.
