Casemiro, the Brazilian midfielder has been traded to Manchester United. He was contracted to Real Madrid till 2025 and hence Manchester United had to shell out very high amount of 60 million pound for the Brazilian midfielder. It is 10 times more the amount Real Madrid paid for the Brazilian midfielder in 2013 which speaks about the reputation that Casemiro has in the sporting arena now. In 9 years with the club, he had managed to win 15 major trophies including the 5 Champions League title and 3 La Liga titles. He was the engine of Real Madrid club. Manchester United had offered 4 year contract to Casemiro with additional option of 1 year extension.

On August 19, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that the Brazilian midfield is indeed leaving the club. He was very optimistic that the club has the resources to replace him. He advised that they have six midfielders in the squad to take his place.

Real Madrid had to play Celta Vigo without Casemiro and they managed to defeat Celta Vigo on Saturday by margin of 4-1. Real Madrid registered their second win of their season from as many games. The game was in balance 1-1, but just before half time Luka Modric put Real Madrid back into the game. Vinicius Junior and Federico Valverde scored two more goals in the second half. Ancelotti reserved special praise for Luka Modric and mentioned that he is a fantastic leader of the game. He put Real Madrid back in the lead and scored the most important goal and post same the game got easier for the Madrid.

Real took the initial lead in the game in the first half through penalty when referee noticed that Renato Tapia has touched the football through hand. Celta came back to the game through penalty only when Eder Militao blocked a header from Goncalo Paciencia through hand. Striker Aspas took the penalty and did not make any mistake.

Modric bought Madrid back into the lead just 3 minutes before half time. It could have been worse for Celta and Real got another penalty late in the game but could not capitalise on it. His goal was sensational to say the least. Real Madrid boss “Carlo Ancelotti“ was very happy post-game. He was very pleased that the side showed good energy on the pitch and they got good individual performances from players who have not got much game time on the pitch. He advised that they have players who can play at different positions in the pitch which eventually helps the team a lot
