New Maruti Suzuki Alto K10
Maruti has launched a new version – New Maruti Suzuki Alto K10. Pricing of same starts from INR 3.99 lacs ex-showroom. Price goes up to INR 5.84 lakhs ex-showroom. This pricing is of the manual version. Automatic version starts from INR 5.50 lakhs. This is based on petrol and engine is 998 CC. Mileage is approximately 24.9 kmpl. Car is spacious enough for 5 people.
New Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has used K10C motor in this version. As per review from CarWale, it is easy to drive due to its peppy motor. Controls are also light. It is value for the price. Also Maruti has extensive network of sales/spares and service centre. It also has good resale value. However there are certain disadvantages as well. Spare parts are expensive for the top end versions of this version. Also the overall look of the car is not that appealing and looks pretty basic. This hatchback car is multiple variants – STD, LXI,VXI,VXI Plus,VXI AMT and VXI Plus AMT. Overall length of the car is 3.53 m and the width is 1.49 m. Wheel base is 2.38 m.
If we come to safety criteria, then there are dual airbags available at the front seating area. It has reverse parking sensors. Waiting period for the manual version is 1 week to ten days, whereas for automatic version it is between 1-2 months.
In Delhi it is advised that there is no waiting period and it is readily available. This version is directly competing with Hyundai Eon and Datsun Go in the small car market. Car has music system with Aux-in and USB ports. It has internally adjustable ORVMs, front power window, dual cup holder and dual-tone dashboard. The car has been launched last month and so far it they have seen excellent sales. So far only 20% of the customer has opted for Alto K10 AMT version. This version has waiting period from 2months up to 4 months. Customers are preferring Alto K10 AMT over Maruti Celerio AMT due to its cheaper price. But Maruti at the end should be happy that customers are not being lost to other competitors. As a result of this , the waiting period for Celerio is now dropping.
