Hit the first case Netflix release

Rajkumar Rao is back with his new movie “HIT: The first case”. Rajkumar has always done movies of different genre in his career and is always seen as a path breaking actor and is a popular among masses. Sanya Malhotra is casted opposite Rajkumar Rao. The movie will be released in OTT platform-Netflix on August 28, 2022.

It is the remake of the Telugu movie with the same name. Telugu movie was directed by debutant Sailesh Kolanu. The lead pairs of the Telugu movie were Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma. Telugu version was released in theatres on 28th February 2020 and was declared as a hit. Telugu version was followed by a sequel “HIT: The second case”. Kolanu directed the Hindi remake of the first part. Both the Telugu sequel and Hindi remakes were released in July 2022.

The Hindi version didn’t do well theatrically and had very bad numbers. Somehow the Hindi version seems to be lacking bite of the Telugu version. It needs to be seen if the movie does well in OTT platform. Rajkumar Rao’s movie is a suspense thriller.

Movie story-line

Rajkumar is playing the role of the 32 year-old cop, Vikram Jaisingh and is working in Homicide Intervention Team of Rajasthan. He is having mental health issues due to his past. His family, friends and girlfriends are with him in this and they are all advising him to take a break and heal himself. But suddenly an 18 year old girl named Preethi gets missing mysteriously on the Jaipur road. Vikram is given the task of finding the missing girl. He realizes that this case has a personal connection with him. He has to step in and solve the case while having panic attacks and anxiety while solving case. Sanya Malhotra plays her role beautifully.

The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, Krishnan Kumar and Kuldeep Rathore. Girish Kohli has written the dialogues and screen play is done by Sailesh Kolanu. The movie was shooted in India only and music was taken care by T-Series. It remains to be seen how the movies does on OTT.
